LAND'S END
Joe Trepiccione:
Lands End where land meets sky
has always had a mysterious
draw. Writers and poets,
painters and photographers have
traveled to the end of Cape Cod in
search of inspiration. In this
exhibit Joe Trepiccione creates the
beauty of the National Seashore
in oil on canvas.
"As a landscape painter, I know when I first arrived in the
promised land, in the late 70's, that I wanted to be part of this
special place, to have my roots transplanted here. I knew I
wanted to live the rest of my life surrounded by creativity and
positive energy."
"For the last few months I have been re-inspired by the
celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Seashore,
with its 'Forty miles of pristine sandy beach, marshes, ponds,
and uplands... lighthouses, cultural landscapes, and wild
cranberry bogs (that) offer a glimpse of Cape Cod's past and
continuing ways of life.'"
