Hutson Gallery is pleased to announce the final exhibition in our fourth season Last Call for 2011 featuring the gallery and guest artists who have shown during this season and made it so successful.

RECEPTION: SEPTEMBER 9 FROM 7 TO 9 PM

Late spring brought a burst of color with the opening of Reaching for the Sky: 4 Artists Working with Color. This special exhibit curated by Philip Gerstein examined the many uses of color. Color is the guiding star in the paintings and photographs of 4 mid-career artists currently working in Boston: Eleanor Steinadler, Luanne E Witkowski, Rose Olson and Philip Gerstein.

The season continued with the release of Provincetown Arts magazine in which Provincetown native and artist Peter Macara was featured. Peter's paintings and the sculpture of Gary Grossman can be seen in this exhibit. The Hutson Gallery exhibited new works from returning artists, Erik Laffer, Gay Malin, Kristen Gossler, and Luanne E Witkowski, and hosted new exhibits for Steve Barylick and Joe Trepiccione. In addition, the 2011 season introduced Brian Shafford and Ellen Rolli and welcomed Harry Folsom.

Selected works of art from all these artists can be enjoyed for the fall season which coincides with "Fall for the Arts" hosted by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and Provincetown's "Ten Days of Art ~ Celebrating America's Oldest Continuous Art Colony."
